Many electrical devices, equipment, and systems need an electromagnetic field for their standard operation. This leads to the consumption of reactive power, which provides basic function but not active power. The transmission and distribution system is loaded with this reactive power, making it an inefficient use of energy. The solution is to use low-voltage power factor compensation (RGK-LV) to provide the required reactive power from power capacitors directly to the appliance to avoid undesired load on the mains network.
Function | |
Increase energy efficiency. Extend the service life of motors and transformers. Balance grid and reduce reactive energy costs.
Types | |
RGKJ – No increased harmonic levels in the network, in simple objects. RGKJ-H – Increased harmonic levels in the network, mainly in industrial facilities. Harmonic filters are installed, and depending on the level of harmonics in the network, 5.7%, 7%, and 14% power shift correction filters (detune filters) can be used. RGKJ-G-H – High-speed thyristor control to handle rapidly changing network parameters.
